Palaash Bhargava, Ph. D.
Research Overview:
My research interests span development and labour economics, with a focus on human capital formation, social networks, and household decision-making. I study how social and family environments shape educational, financial, identity-related, and health outcomes.
My work spans multiple geographies, with a primary focus on India, where I run large-scale field experiments in education. I also use administrative, credit bureau, historical, and archival data to study family networks, financial decision-making, and intergenerational transmission.
Together with Tarang Tripathi, I help lead the research wing of Aawaaz Education Services in India. Researchers interested in running field experiments in India, particularly in health and education, are welcome to reach out.
