Experience Behavioral Economics Live: Experiment at the Decision Lab during the Bonn Science Night
(Please note that the event will be in German!)
On 7 May 2026, the Max Planck Institute for Behavioral Economics will open its Decision Lab as part of the “Month of Science” and offer insights into a distinctive method of economic research: the behavioral-economics experiment.
Many people associate economics primarily with theories and models. In fact, however, research is also conducted in the laboratory – with real decisions, real incentives, and real people. At its core lies a central question: How do people make decisions, and which factors influence their behavior?
In our event, you will have the opportunity to experience this first-hand. In an interactive setting, you will take part in a typical behavioral-economics experiment while gaining insights into the scientific methodology behind it.
