Curriculum Vitae
Max Keilbach is a senior researcher at the research group on Entrepreneurship, Growth and Public Policy. His main research interests are in the area of innovative entrepreneurship and in its economic impact. He uses empirical, econometric and simulation based approaches in his analyses. He started his professional life as a shepherd, then he studied Agricultural Engineering in Nürtingen, Germany and Economics in Freiburg, Germany, Montpellier, France, and Berlin, Germany. He received his PhD from the Chair of Econometrics at the TU Berlin, investigating causes of Spatial Agglomeration of Production Factors and its impact on Regional Economic Growth. Between 1998 and 2002 He worked as a Senior Researcher at the Department of Industrial Economics at the Centre for European Economic Research (ZEW) in Mannheim. There his Research focused on the Demography of Firms and on the development of corresponding databases.
Max Keilbach currently also works in the Textile Retail Business as Head of Board of Hans Keilbach Mode in South Germany and in the Music Industry, where he performs as a singer and as the musical director of the Skylarks vocal group, Berlin.
